Eterotopia
The abandoned Conference Hall at Ex Arsenale de La Maddalena, designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti and built in 2009 for a G8 summit that was about to take place in Sardinia, Italy. Eventually the summit was moved last minute to L’Aquila, which was hit by an earthquake earlier the same year. The Conference Hall along with a new-built hotel, retrofitted arsenale building and a 128 000 m2 harbour have never been in use.
